Central Florida Campus Collaboration

The Central Florida Campus Collaboration is a collective connection between queer college students within the Central Florida region, including Seminole State College, Valencia College, and the University of Central Florida. Through this program, the Mukti Fund hopes to work towards the goal of fostering a safe, thriving, and resilient queer college atmosphere in the Central Florida region.

By working directly with the student population, the Mukti Fund works to target what is needed at the campus’ to support queer students excellence and success as they continue their academic and personal journey.

This includes everything from supporting the schools LGBTQ+ groups with funding for events like Come Out with Pride and working to send students directly to conferences like Creating Change, one of the biggest queer conferences in the nation.

“The Creating Change Conference deepened my understanding of LGBTQ+ issues by discussing the importance of inclusivity, intersectionality, and community-driven activism. It challenged me to think beyond basic advocacy and recognize the systemic barriers that marginalized groups face. I learned new strategies for supporting LGBTQ+ rights, from promoting racial justice to prioritizing mental health and harm reduction.” -UCF Student
